Online custom designing of shirts and other items is going to be standard on many websites by the end of 2007. We are not convinced the current models which carry a pretty hefty price tag upfront and a substantial monthly fee are the answer. Coming soon there are online designers that you simply host on your own site. Most of these products allow you full control of what you sell including, Garment printing, Dye Sublimation, engraving and much more. We are looking at both models and negotiating with developers for the best product for you, our customers.
This online process can offer you a couple major advantages in your business. 1- you can generate new customers and revenue that you are not seeing right now. 2- you can have your current customers use the process for sending you designs for their customers and organizations via your site to speed up your process from order to delivery. You can also have a visual guide to enhance the communications with your customers to lessen the possibility of mistakes or misunderstandings on orders. You can send back the proof from their submission to confirm orders, size, quantities. One of the great benefits is that your site can be generating business while you are closed or working on other projects. The website doesn't go to lunch.
